I finished up these three for a customer who’s been waiting several months. He supplied the wood for the handles which is off of a piece of walnut his grandfather milled off their property. It’s been sitting in their barn for over 30 years. For the liners I went with a piece of red white and blue g10. His grandfather served as a combat war veteran that I found out later after I delivered them to him. The steel is AEBL that I put a tumbled finish on. These are the first knives I made in a while.

My latest three skinners are finished just in time for deer season. All sold.

They are coated with black cerakote. Middle I put in my tumbler three hours to give it a worn look. Top is Blackwood/synthetic turquoise/ iron wood. Bottom is Blackwood/epoxy/cocobolo both made by Randy McBurney. Middle is black stabilized black ash burl. Sheaths were made by TBarM Leather Works. Giraffe and Rattlesnake were used on two. All three are hollow ground CPM154. 8” oal length. 🔪

I’ve found some time over the last few weeks to get back in my shop. This is my personal brisket slicer. It’s 16” overall length of ladder Damascus made by friend Joe. For the scales you can see the things I am going to use. The blue is mammoth molar with brass spacers on green G10 liners and pins. The spaghetti oak is from .enterprises.stabilizing. I’ve been saving these for a while. Feels to good to be making a knife again. This one has been on my bench for probably a year.

I Finished this one a a couple weeks ago. It’s my second hidden tang. It was one of those that fought me the entire build. It has sat on my bench for two years because of this. Glad it’s done. The blade is CPM154 and the guard is Texas Wind Damascus that I made a couple years ago. For the handle I used spalted hackberry that I stabilized. The awesomesheath was done by TBarM Leather Works. The dark brown is Stingray. OAL is 13.5”

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted any knives. Baseball basically every weekend and extremely busy at work. This is a filet knife I made for a good friend who has helped me a lot with technical questions with my mercedes diesel for the land cruiser. I included pics of the handle material before and after as well. I failed to get decent pics with my big camera and could have done better wiping it down. The back drop is my OM606.

Here are the specs.

13” filet
Steel: 15n20 that I coated in flat black cerakote (.125 thick and very flexible)
Handle: I took a wasp nest off my shed a couple years ago. I stabilized it blue and cast in resin with three colors. G10 white liners.
Sheath: kydex with a belt clip

New liner lock design. This will be my personal knife. Mosaic Damascus blade with Ti liners and back spacer. First time back making knives in some time. The Mercedes’ engine is basically done minus a few last parts I’m waiting on. Let’s see how this one turns out. I wanted something slim line to fit in my pocket easier. This one will have a Ti pocket clip on it as well.

Finally have this set finished for a very patient customer. Both are raindrop pattern Damascus. They are my first blades with hidden fastener bolsters. The handle material I stabilized curly maple. The cleaver is 13.5” and the pairing knife is hollow ground. This should do a fine job this fall at some tailgates. The new owner played baseball for the horned frogs hence the number 25 on the pairing knife. These are my last two blades I had on my books. Now to get busy on some liner locks.

Sooooo I have had this Bowie blade on my Bench for over a year. I just haven’t had much time to work on it. When I finish this motor I’m gonna get back on it. Also have my second pocket knife design done. That will be what I spend most of my time on.
