Hedge trimming is a bit of an artform. We gave this California Privet a heavy shearing today making room for an RV and opening the sidewalk. It needed deeper cuts in some areas and lighter in others to reach the perfect flat surface and square lines. As it grows in evenly it will be easier to maintain a perfect form throughout the year.

This 150' escallonia hedge had gotten a bit overwhelming for the homeowner. After removing 1,200 lbs. of material we reduced it to a more manageable size. Trimming all the large stems down to 4" below the fence line allows new growth to fill in to the top of the fence and be easier to cut through next time. It certainly opened up the backyard a bit too! Fortuna Chamber of Commerce
