For the youthful socialist/DSA acolytes of today.

Consider that which makes your life comfortable today, starting with your smart phone and other personal communication devices, your electric scooters and bicycles, the gaming software that you use, the sports that you participate in, the activities, the vehicles that transport you and your family on roadways, rail and in the air, the medical devices and the medical equipment and medicines that keep you alive or have healed, or are otherwise used to treat your sick grandfather or your sick mother, the other hobbies that interests you. Consider it all.

With reference now to all of the socialist nations, the communist nations that have ever existed on the face of the planet, the Soviet Union, Cuba, North Korea, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, all of the eastern block countries of Europe, and any other nations you can think of in Africa or the Americas or Asia, tell me which of those wonderful things you imagined a little earlier that help or enhance you in your life - list any of them that were created and invented in any of those socialist nations or by any self identified socialist.

Support your entrepreneurs and local businesses. Support capitalism. Support market economics.
Fight communism. Fight socialism.

At about age 80, grandfather Fred Yoder, President of Yoder Built, Inc., decided he wanted to try another hobby. With help from his sons he acquired a wood lathe, tools, and material, and set about teaching himself how to turn. Shortly thereafter he was making beautiful products, much of it from exotic woods. He also experimented with Corian.

The 1968 Mercury Cougar was the Yoder Built matriarch's. Dorothy Yoder's. She bought it new.

Long about 1987, we had the local master mechanic, Tony Davis, original owner of Tony's Automotive Research (today, Pat Smith's 'Automotive Research'), rebuild the engine for her. Here's Tony in red, with his mechanic, the beautiful car, and engine.

At one time, the house on the corner of Kingstree and Mangrum Court was a brand new Yoder-Juett home.
The second two photos are of the brand new Yoder-Juett home on the corner of North and East Briarwood Drive (my grandparents in the garden).
Plus three more photos from the Yoder family archives.
All circa 1974.
