𝘿𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬?

Not only do our crews appreciate a break from the heat, your new sod is loving this cool weather! Ideally sod would always be laid between 55-65 degrees Fahrenheit. Too cool and the roots will struggle to establish, too hot and the shock of transplanting and likelihood of drying out increases. So while you're pool splashing plans might be on hold in these cooler temperatures, your sod is thriving!

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙒𝙚 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨: 𝙈𝙖𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙨

Maple Trees of all varieties remain a popular staple in landscape. They inspire quotes, street names, and beautiful fall photos! We plant them regularly as shade trees on projects, knowing that with the right care, they will grow into beautiful trees in beautiful neighborhoods.

Caring for your new Maple Tree mostly comes down to WATER! Using a gator bag on new trees is an efficient way to be sure that as long as the gator bag is properly used and filled regularly, your tree receives enough water to stay healthy! If you notice wilting or scorched leaves, this is a sign of drought stress. You want to make sure to water about 11 gallons of water a week or reaching 10 inches below the surface. Using mulch around the base will also help conserve water and regulate ground temperatures.

Pruning is an important way to remove dead or weakened branches and make sure that your maple develops strong branches and continues to bloom year after year. It is done best in late spring or summer after the tree has fully leafed being careful not to prune too early or too late.

Maples can bring that beautiful established feeling to any landscape!
