❄️ Cold Weather Advisory – All-Tech Plumbing & Heating LLC ❄️

Extremely cold temperatures are expected this weekend. A few quick checks now can help prevent heating problems:

• Oil & gas systems:
Make sure you have plenty of fuel, as usage increases in extreme cold. Keep all vents and air intakes clear of snow and ice, and check your smoke & CO detectors.

• Heat pumps:
Keep outdoor units clear of snow and ice. With wind chills near -20°F, we recommend having electric space heaters on hand as a backup.

• Thermostats:
Avoid turning thermostats down during extreme cold. Keep them set at a steady temperature (70°F or higher).

• Alternate heat sources:
Coal,pellet and wood stoves can reduce circulation in hot-water or radiant systems, increasing the risk of frozen pipes. Know your system—or keep it running.

> Before the cold weather hits, bring your homes and businesses up to temp.

Although we’ve been quiet we’ve been keeping busy! Recently we replaced a couple of Symmons Hydapipe shower assemblies and installed a new water cooler with a bottle filler for our friends in Colchester.

Using carbon dioxide with our cold shot to freeze an 1-1/2” copper water main for one of our commercial customers in New Haven. The curb valve could not be operated by the town and this was the fastest option to get 36 apartments back on line as soon as possible. 🥶🥶🥶
