Why you need to remove STUMPS…..
Stumps are an Eyesore
If you leave a stump in your lawn, then it can detract from your home’s curb appeal. After all, who wants to see a big block of wood sticking up from the ground? When they are removed, you can improve your landscape’s aesthetics.
Stumps May Become a Hazard
If you have stumps sticking up in your lawn, they can become a real safety hazard to anyone who may be walking or playing in the area. If a neighbor or visitor trips and is injured, you may be liable for their expenses. A stump can also cause serious damage to your mower, breaking the blades and causing other problems.
A Decaying will Attract Pests
As the stump in your yard, it may begin to attract unwanted pests, such as ants, beetles and other types of insects that like to bore into wood. Keep in mind, a stump is going to take quite a while to decay, which means your landscape is going to be vulnerable to these damaging insects for this entire period of time. What is even worse is that termites will be attracted to this rotting wood and may eventually make their way into your home. If you leave a stump near your home’s foundation, then you may be asking for a termite invasion.
Stumps Can Grow New Trees
In some cases, the stump that is left behind can cause new trees to grow by the way of shoots. Not only will this be unsightly for the landscape, it can also cost you more money down the road to remove the original stump, as well as all the offshoots. Additionally, chemicals are (in some cases) the only way you will be able to keep the shoots from continuing to re-grow.
