I’m kind of impressed with these US water filters. This one has hydrogen peroxide injector to get rid of smell in the water well. A carbon filter and a water softener. Customer ordered it after they a tested there water and built a custom filter system with UV protection for any bacteria. Seems like a very well built system. Will definitely recommend moving forward.

I’m so excited. Oh my goodness I’m so excited. Here I thought you get your Master plumbing license and that’s as far as you can go. I just found out tonight that you can actually go get a CPD certificate and you have to go test. It’s a bigger test and it has to do with engineering and everything. I’m actually excited being a Master Plumber but want more. I’m going for more. I guess the CPD certificate is recognized WorldWide. Even Texas recognizes it . 🤫 Like how will it feel to have a CPD Master Plumbing license? I don’t care I’m doing it. I was thinking about doing some other things because I’m really good at a lot of trades but,oh hell no. I’m so confident, In my Plumbing skills I’m gonna pay the money (very expensive ) and I’m just gonna go take this test. I’ll let you know how it comes out. I’m so excited.🤗

My favorite recent picture of Star lately. She loves a good wall hung drinking fountain. Speaking of love it’s that time of season. Juster Plumbing is offering a love your home inspection. Included in this we check your water pressure if you’re on city water we also check the quality of your water. If you’re on a well, we check your pressure tank to make sure it is aired up correctly verify that your pump is working correctly by your pressure switch. I also do a basic plumbing inspection of the rest of your house. To be honest, there’s nothing worse when you actually have a problem when you reach under the sink shut off the water cause you’re having a catastrophe and your emergency shut off does not work. We verify that all the emergency shut off all the valves in the house are working. I also drain and flush your water heater if you are present during this inspection, I sent a video camera down after I pull out your Anode Rod. (The rod is called, sacrificial anode, a lot of people don’t know that this is in your water heater. It’s typically made out of magnesium or an another soft metal it’s designed to be in the water heater, so the hard water eats away at that rather than the tank of the water heater.) anyways we pull out that rod inspect it. Judging from the age of your water heater, this can tell a lot. I also look at hose bibs , and we talk about your plumbing inside your house to make sure you’re happy with all of it. 👋 Hi guys, it’s been a minute. Star (My Dirty doggy) totally talked me into it Writing about this. Because she reminded me that we love helping those around us and the community that we live in. She ended up playing in some dirty water. She asked me what can you do to ensure that the water that people are drinking is safe and what can you do to filter it?

I told her a story about when I was in Austin, Texas. I got called out to a job because there was mold growing out of the aerators. Throughout the home of the house. This house was actually on city water, after using my water testing equipment. I determined that the chlorine content was zero on the water entering the home, this allowed the creation of mold to start growing on the water entering the home. I notified the customer of the results. I recommended that he called the city and notify them of his lack of chlorine in his water system. I took pictures and documented everything. Two days later, I got a call from the customer saying that the water department verify that there is chlorine going into his home. So I got called back to that job. So I hired a third-party water testing company to a accompany me to test the water. The results came back the same there was no chlorine in his water. The gentleman I’m referring to was a local attorney in that area. I thought it was pretty amazing. The next day on the news everybody in that area was on a boil water notice.

The lesson to be gathered from this is the water traveling from your water plant/tower in your community , town ,city has to be chlorinated to protect any bacteria from starting to grow in the water . There could be leaks underground. There could be contamination anywhere that can create hazardous water entering your home. The chlorine that the city provides to protect your water ensures that you are getting safe water.

On the opposite side, yes, you want safe water to enter your home. Once it enters your home and flows past a backflow preventer you want to clean your water up in the best possible way. That’s where I come in educating people about the importance of filtration systems in their home.

I love doing a test in front of customers. I fill two glasses of water. The 1st cup, I put a chlorine test dye and it turns the water yellow due to the chlorine in there. The second one I asked the customer to stick their finger in for 30 seconds the same water that came out of their faucet. After 30 seconds, I put my chlorine test in the exact same water. The water remains clear. Most customers ask me why? It’s simple your skin is the biggest organ on your body, so the whole time that you’re in the shower or taking a bath, you’re literally absorbing everything that’s in your water, including the chlorine. So yes, filtration is very important once the water enters into your home.

There are some great companies. I’ve worked with. One that I’ve had a great communication and customer service with I’m going to mention. There is definitely other companies out there that might fit the needs that you need.

If you’re on a well this company, also does water testing and they build a custom filters for your situation. To be honest, the 30 of these that I’ve installed. All of the customers are super happy. I have yet to have a single call back on one of these and in the chance that there was they definitely guarantee their stuff.

Aysha, Talked me into donating blood yesterday for the first time. It really wasn’t that bad. I’ll definitely do it again, who knows with me being a plumber and coming into contact with icky stuff all the time. Maybe my blood has special antibodies in it. 🤣 More importantly, I just hope it helps some people in need.

Star , wants to give a few pointers and reminders for everyone during this holiday season.

1. A lot of people have not checked or tested their CO ( carbon monoxide detector) / smoke detectors in a while. It’s always a good idea to hit the button and make sure it beeps. If you’re not sure if you have a CO detector some say CO/smoke on them. If not, you definitely need to have a CO detector in your home, you can pick them up at your local General store, Ace Hardware, most places carry them.

2. Star likes to stash food or bones for later. Personally, she likes to bury them in the yard so they’ll never be seen again.
But she wants to remind everybody a garbage disposal is not a place where you can just put stuff like a hole on the ground. You should never put grease/oil, coffee grounds, fibrous veggies (celery, corn husks), starchy foods (pasta, rice, potatoes), bones, fruit pits, nuts, or harsh chemicals/non-food items (plastic, metal, glass, paint) down the garbage disposal.

She also says “ are you getting that stinky smell out of your disposal? She says to throw a few ice cube down there. It helps gather the food that might be present in there makes kind of a snow globe. Then run the hot water with the disposal on to get rid of those unwanted smells.

3. Another great idea she brought up, a lot of times we have company over during the holidays. It’s always a good idea to make sure your guest bathrooms and equipment, we don’t use that often are working properly and flushing properly. There’s nothing worse than having your friends and family come over and you have a plumbing emergency at the last minute at the time of the event. So she recommends in testing all the plumbing fixtures before your guests arrive.

Anyways, she hopes all a wonderful Christmas . Love to everyone.
