Here at Lumen Brothers Electric, we take our work culture very seriously. This means that teambuilding is a priority. Sometimes, things are crazy busy and it’s all we can do to just keep up. During this time, company meetings are few and far between. But when we have the opportunity, we love to incorporate portions of our workday to teambuilding exercises. Here are a couple of pictures of and getting in a little fishing before starting the work day.

These little breaks in the routine offer our tem an opportunity to check in with each other, regroup, discuss recent projects, and what we could do better. It also just breaks up the monotony of the every day work life of an electrician. When you work for larger companies, things like this are not prioritized. We operate within a culture that prioritizes profit above all else. We started this company to provide ourselves with the lifestyle of our choosing. Yes, it comes at the cost of overall profit, but we value more than just how much money we can make. We value, simplicity, happiness, and a positive work environment. We believe that this lends itself to happier electricians in your home. Happier electricians do better work.

We don’t get a chance to do this as often as would like to, and as you can see, we didn’t catch much… Just a stick or two. But this was a great way to start a workday. Here’s to maintaining solid partnerships and to creating your own work environment that provides you with the lifestyle of your choosing. Have fun out there.

400A Service Upgrade - downtown Frederick, Md

Since the beginning of the pandemic, electrical service equipment has been nonexistent within the supply chain across the country. Normally on an installation like this, we would bring our overhead conduit directly into the top of the electrical meter socket. But due to supply shortages, and after waiting, almost an entire year for this equipment, we utilized this underground-fed 400 amp meter socket for an overhead installation. We’ve all had to get creative during this period of time. We were happy to receive the service equipment when we did and we think the service turned out pretty clean.

Recessed lighting is a great way to brighten up any room in your beautiful, historic home. Recessed lights also offer options for lighting a space due to their excellent dimming range. These new LED recessed fixtures come with the ability to change the color temperature to whichever mood you prefer. These fixtures were set to 2700K, which gives a warm, classical light.

We say it a lot but lighting is everything! We really notice it when someone purchases a new home and begins the process of installing the right fixtures for the right spaces. You can see rooms, once ordinary, come to life and take on a new shape and feel, all because of a new lighting fixture. Lighting enhances mood and changes the way a room feels. We love getting the opportunity to help our clients brighten up their homes by installing beautiful new fixtures.

We added some modern lighting to a mid-century rancher here in beautiful just a few weeks ago. We love the way these new LED fixtures brought this gorgeous home to life!
