Progress on project Beacon Landing!

In collaboration with Mark R. Yoo Architects PLLC, Beacon Landing is a new 56-unit supportive housing apartment building with a small training center that will be built with Virginia Housing 9% Tax Credit funding, Virginia Housing Minimum Design and Construction Requirements.

Luke was hired to assist with construction administration, marketing, and office management! He is a Frederick native and graduate of Hood College in 2024 with a degree in Communications & Marketing, and a minor in Graphic Design. We are excited to have such a strong addition to the MFA team!

Construction of Patrick Henry is underway!

This new supportive housing project in Fairfax VA will provide emergency 30-day accommodation to unhoused families. The foundation, wood/steel framing and the stairway/elevator towers have been installed.

Hunters Woods Seniors Celebrate Lunar New Year!

Hunters Woods, a diverse, Senior Affordable Housing in Community in Reston celebrates The Year of the Horse in its MFA-designed, renovated community space. Senior volunteers educated residents about Lunar New Year and the meaning of The Year of the Horse which signifies a fast-paced, dynamic period focused on independence, adventure, and major transformation. , , ,

Site Work Underway at Beacon Landing!

Beacon Landing, a permanent supportive housing project in Fairfax, VA, is under construction. More amazingly, Harkins is building a full-size mockup unit at the site office, allowing the team to troubleshoot units' months prior to building them!

Sligo Ribbon Cutting!

Sligo (now Bracken Square) had its official ribbon-cutting! The building is MFA-designed new construction affordable housing project in Silver Spring, MD w/ 34 1-BR units, 53 2-BR units, 15 3-BR units, office areas, conference room, and fitness center. The building was constructed in compliance w/ National Green Building standard; 42 units will be Energy Zero Ready Home certified, and the building incorporates a vegetative roof w/ integrated photovoltaic solar panels. , , , , ,

Beacon Landing Groundbreaking!

Beacon Landing, a 5-story, 54-unit permanent supportive housing building in Fairfax, VA focused on providing unhoused adults with disabilities at or below 30% AMI, broke ground yesterday. MFA is the Architect of Record working with Design Architect Mark Yoo. , ,
