Registration is NOW OPEN for our first-ever Extra Mile 5K on March 23, 2024!

We are THRILLED to be the presenting sponsor and together with , we have created something a little different and a lot of fun. For those of you who are always up for going the extra mile, this 5k will tack on an energetic, hyped up mile to make a course totaling 4.1 miles. We also have a separate registration option for all those who want to participate but just want to skip the 3.1 and jump straight to "the extra mile." So all of you walkers, joggers, and little ones who want to be a part of the fun, you can still go "the extra mile."

Fresh off a stellar 🏈 season and sporting a shiny 1st place medal from the Mechanicsville Tournament in his weight class! 🥇 🤼‍♂️ This champ knows no limits. Sophomore Addie Morton from the Girl’s Basketball team is the Douglas Southall Freeman Athletics Athlete of the Week. As a returning standout from last season, Addie had picked up right where she left off averaging 18 points per game, 8 rebounds per game, 3 steals per game, and 3 assists per game helping DSF out to a 2-1 start with big victories over Atlee and Louisa County!!

Senior Camille Rivers from the Competition Cheer team is the Douglas S. Freeman High School Athlete of the Week.! 🤸

Serving as one of the senior captains, Camille earned 1st Team All-Region and helped the Competition Cheer team to a 2nd place finish in the regional championship!! This is the first time that our Competition Cheer team has qualified for the Class 5 State Championship…great job and good luck to Camille and the team!!

It's that time again...the Douglas S. Freeman High School Athlete of the Week!
🏌️
Junior Golfer Joseph Winston helped lead the DSF Golf team to the best finish in recent history, placing 3rd in the State Championship in Class 5!! Coming off a 2nd place medalist performance at the Regional Tournament, he fired a 71 at Heritage Oaks Golf Club and earned 1st Team All-State honors in the process!! Great job Joseph and DSF Golf!!
