Winter weather can be rough on older decks, especially if they’re already past their prime.
Here’s a quick look at how long most deck materials usually last:
-Pressure-treated wood: 10–15 years
-Cedar or redwood: 15–20 years
-Composite decking: 25–30+ years (with less maintenance)
If your deck is starting to feel soft underfoot, the boards are splintering, or the frame is showing signs of rot, it might be time to consider a replacement. We’re happy to take a look and give you an honest opinion on whether it’s worth repairing or rebuilding.

Snow is heavy, especially when it’s wet. If your roof has a low pitch or hasn’t been cleared off, it could be carrying more weight than it’s designed for. Listen for unusual creaks or pops inside. Look for doors that suddenly don’t close right. Those could be signs of stress.
If something doesn’t feel right, call us. We’ll come check it out, let you know what’s going on, and offer real solutions if there’s a problem.

If you’re seeing big icicles hanging off your roof, there’s a good chance you’ve got ice dams forming.
They may look harmless, but they trap melting snow behind them — and that water can back up under your shingles.
That leads to roof leaks, soaked insulation, and ceiling stains.
We can check for damage and make sure your roof is still doing its job after the storm.
Free roof inspections. Local, reliable service.

Snow and freezing temps are tough on concrete. As snow melts, water seeps into tiny cracks. Then it freezes again overnight, expands, and makes those cracks worse. If your concrete is already cracked or uneven, let’s take a look and talk options before winter weather does more damage.

Most roofs can handle the load of a heavy snowfall, but if you already have weak spots, sagging, or older shingles, it doesn’t take much to cause leaks or structural damage. Keep an eye out for signs like interior water spots, creaking noises, or shingles shifting after the snow melts. If anything seems off, we’re happy to provide an honest free estimate.

Snow adds a ton of weight to your deck. If your deck boards are already cracked, soft, or sagging, that load can push them past their limit. If your deck feels spongy or you’re worried about how it’s holding up, we can check the framing, footings, and supports to make sure everything's safe. Repairs now are cheaper than replacements later!

Wondering how long your roof is supposed to last? Here’s a quick breakdown based on the material:
🏠 Asphalt shingles: 15–30 years
🏠 Architectural shingles: 25–40 years
🏠 Metal roofing: 40–70 years
🏠 Wood shakes: 20–40 years
🏠 Flat roofs (rubber or membrane): 10–25 years
Of course, harsh weather, poor ventilation, and installation quality all affect how long a roof actually holds up.
If your roof is getting close to the end of its expected lifespan (or you're not sure how old it is) reach out for a free roofing inspection.

Here’s what happens to your concrete in winter:
Water gets into small surface cracks
It freezes and expands overnight
It thaws and leaves the crack bigger
Repeat that cycle a few dozen times, and you’ve got a crumbling driveway or walkway by spring. If your concrete is already cracked or chipped, we can help you plan a repair or replacement before things get worse.
