Not a bad morning view from the "office"! 🚀

One of our remote employees in Florida got a front-row seat to this morning’s NASA & SpaceX CRS-35 resupply mission to the International Space Station. The Falcon 9 rocket launched from Cape Canaveral at 6:33 AM, carrying crucial research payloads and equipment into orbit.

While Legacy Engineering is rooted in Virginia, our flexible remote work culture empowers our team members to build their careers from wherever they thrive. We’re proud to support an environment where our team stays connected, inspired, and energized by the incredible feats of engineering that make views like this possible!

Our team was proud to walk in the Mary Washington Hospital Foundation’s Power of Pink Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday. We love supporting our local healthcare industry and the incredible work Mary Washington Healthcare does to make a meaningful difference for individuals and families in our community affected by breast cancer. Every step counts!

Today, some of the incredible women of Legacy Engineering stepped away from their desks to enjoy lunch together!

We make it a priority to get out of the office once a month, giving us a dedicated space to catch up on life outside of work, share a great meal, and build genuine connections.

One of the absolute best parts of working for a woman-owned firm in the AEC industry is experiencing the authentic support, mentorship, and camaraderie among women in our field.

Building each other up and taking time to connect makes our team stronger every day.

Instead of a standard meeting room, we gathered inside Atlantic Builders' Keswick Commons model home, and to say it was stunning is an understatement!

Fall brings plenty of changes above ground, but we’re looking at what can change below the surface, too.

As cooler weather settles in, our lab team is screening soil samples for acid-producing pyritic material. A testing solution is added to the soil to see how it reacts, and some samples put on quite the show, resembling a mini volcanic eruption!

The reaction helps our team identify pyritic soils, which can create acidic conditions when exposed to air and moisture during excavation and construction.

From changing leaves to changing soil conditions, there’s plenty to keep an eye on this season!

The last time Jewelie, one of our engineers, visited the main office, we were celebrating her growing family with an office baby shower.
