Ah, green tomatoes. The garden’s version of “not quite there yet, but full of potential.” Whether frost is looming or you’ve just picked a little early, here’s how to coax those greenies into red, juicy greatness—right in your cozy kitchen! Tried this earlier this year when our garden was on overdrive just before a freeze! It worked!!!!

🍅 How to Ripen Green Tomatoes Indoors

1. Pick ‘em Right
Choose mature green tomatoes—those that have a slight blush or have lost that deep green color. If they’re hard and bright green, they might not ripen well.

2. Wash & Dry Gently
Give them a little spa day. Wash off any dirt, then dry completely to avoid mold or rot.

3. Bag ’em Up
Place tomatoes in a paper bag, box, or even wrap in newspaper. This traps ethylene gas (a natural ripening hormone) to speed things along.

Bonus Tip: Want to really boost that gas? Add a ripe banana or apple to the mix. Nature’s little overachievers.

4. Store in the Right Spot
Keep them in a warm area (65–75°F). Avoid direct sunlight—it can cause uneven ripening or shriveled skin. A pantry, kitchen counter, or laundry room works great.

5. Check Daily
Inspect for softness or color changes. Remove any that start to rot—they’re party crashers for the rest.

6. Be Patient
It can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. Some will ripen faster than others, so rotate them like tiny tomato sunbathers.

🌿 Want to infuse a little natural wellness while you’re at it?

Put a drop of Young Living Citrus Fresh or Lemon oil on a cotton ball and place near your tomato bag—not for flavoring, but to keep the air fresh and discourage any moldy business. 😉

Your garden called. It said, “More rainwater, please!”

If you’ve ever noticed your plants looking extra perky after a good rain, it’s not your imagination — it’s nature doing its thing! Rainwater is basically a spa treatment for your soil.

It’s chemical-free, full of nutrients, and helps everything from flowers to veggies thrive like they’re in a five-star resort.
(Also…it’s free. And fabulous.)

Got a rain barrel setup? Or just love a good storm for your tomatoes?

Drop a raindrop💧in the comments and tell us what your plants love most!

☕🌱 Coffee Grounds Tip of the Day!

Hey garden lovers! Before you toss your morning grounds in the trash—hold up!

Your plants might be craving a little caffeine boost. But like all good things, there is such a thing as too much buzz. 😉

💚 Where They Shine:

✅ Mixed into flower beds & veggie gardens – great for boosting nitrogen, improving soil texture, and attracting helpful worms
✅ Sprinkled in the compost pile – they’re like black gold for your compost game
✅ Around acid-loving plants – roses, hydrangeas, azaleas = big fans!

⚠️ Use With Caution:

🚫 On potted plants – too much can compact the soil and mess with drainage
🚫 As mulch on top – wet coffee grounds can get moldy and block airflow
🚫 In large, raw amounts – always mix them into the soil or compost first

So go ahead, give your plants a little perk—just skip the triple shot. 😉

🚧✨ BREAKING NEWS: Your yard called. It wants to be a castle. 🏰

We recently installed a limestone castle wall garden wall block for a client, and let us just say… if gardens could talk, this one would be speaking with a royal accent and demanding tea at 4:00 PM sharp. ☕👑

These majestic blocks didn’t just show up to play. No no—
They strutted in, lined up like medieval bodyguards, and whispered to the shrubs, “You’re safe now.” 🌿🛡️

Our client is thrilled. We’re thrilled. Even the squirrels are impressed. 🐿️
This wall isn’t just a wall—it’s a statement. It says, “I value beauty, strength, and a slight chance of dragon sightings.” 🐉🔥

So, if your yard is looking a little… well… peasant-like, we’re here to knight it with noble stone.

Call us today. Because every garden deserves its castle wall.
And every homeowner deserves to feel just a little bit royal. 👑💪
