Also open cabinet doors to let heat from the room into cabinets especially on outer walls. Let faucets run a pencil size stream.

OK - friends - you should know the drill by know - keep your cabinet doors open, heat as much as possible into any area on an outside wall - run your water a pencil stream - yes, I know it will raise your water bill but better than the cost of repairing frozen pipes! If you haven't already taken your hose off your outside faucet - it's probably too late - hope for the best! It's winter in Illinois!

Today is the first day of the 2025 Freeport Journal Standard's Best of the Region Top5/Vote For Us round. Votes may be placed daily starting today, 8/11 through 8/25/2025. At the end of the voting round, all the votes are tallied and the Top 3 businesses in each category will be contacted. Last night - between 5:48 and 6:17, our business phone received 18 calls - all scam or robo - so if you called for work and received an unpleasant reaction, please call again today. When I checked the numbers on Google, they were all from various Bank of America numbers from around the USA with the exception of two which I checked against our customer list with no success. I made the mistake of answering one and saying take us off your list and Bill answered one with an epithet!

Thanks once again to all who took the time to navigate the JS web page to vote for us in the Best of the Region. Unfortunately they don't make it easy! I still have not found the results in the paper but have scanned through them online. We were gone for a few days and that must have been when they came out! So I'm sorry to be so late in thanking you all so very much. We are so very grateful for each and every one of you!

Well, apparently the powers that be at the Journal Standard in all their "wisdom" has chosen to end "this promotion" before the date stated in their previous information - voting was to be open from 8/9/24 to 8/23/24. According to MY calendar we haven't got there yet! Thank you to anyone who voted for us!
