Hey there,

My name is Dave Wordekemper, but you can call me Woody. My page has some new followers, and I want to thank you for walking with me on my way to Lincoln in November. Some of you may not know me as well as others do. Allow me to introduce myself.

I live in Fremont with my wife. We raised our two sons here, too.

Growing up, I learned the value of hard work, empathy for others, and giving freely of my time to help those in need. This upbringing helped prepare me for my profession as a firefighter and for giving back to my community. My parents raised six boys, and while we didn't have a lot of money, my brothers and I learned at an early age to work hard for the extra things we might want and need.

I take these valuable lessons that I learned at an early age with me as I run to represent you in Lincoln.

We will continue to get to know each other over the next couple of months. If you see me in public, say "Hi!". Oh, and I hope to see many of you Scribner today at the Dodge County Fair.
