Getting antsy about spring. A couple more months to go. Check out the planter I did at In Bloom on Main St, downtown Fremont. I also put in some plants (snake plants) at The Parlor located by the old skating rink. I have a few fresh arrangements around town, in coffee mugs, The Cut Above, Abe Krasneys, & Dr. McKnights office. Take a look and let meknow what you think.

The middle of January is almost here. It's hard to believe it. Time is going by so fast. As I think about this spring will be here soon also. And with the seed books appearing in the mail makes me want dream about what I will be putting in my garden this year.
Time now to repot my houseplants. Doing some dividing and cuttings. I want to get them big enough to put into containers for the summer. Some easy ones are spider plant, pothos, and all ivys. The spider plant I can cut from the mother plant and put the nubs on the bottom into some water. Cut pothos and ivy just beneith the little nubs along the stem. Put thes cutting also in water, making sure the nubs are underneith the water. Within days you will start to see roots appear. One the roots are long enough, buy some good quality soil and put the roots in a small container. Keep watered well for the first couple of weeks because the roots will be needing plenty of water. After that the roots will be growing the root hairs and the soil can dry out a bit.
Now is a good time also to do cutting of geriums. That is if you brought you geriums inside this year. I will save a ton of money by growing cuttings. Let me know if you have any questions.
