What’s blooming or “almost” blooming in June. May and June are kinda the weird months where the gardeners know there’s tons happening and growing but to the passersby it looks like a bunch of green and not much color yet. Ok I’m officially done dahlia tuber shopping (I’m saying that out loud so I can be held accountable😄). Sooo here’s the round up of the most BEAUTIFUL dahlias to be expected this season (usually blooming by July)! It’s going to be simply amazing. So many different colors for so many different occasions.
Not pictured are the 20+ dahlia seedlings aka totally surprises aka unicorns aka rares aka some of the most unexpected beauties might come from these seedlings. They’re sure to be a surprise!

Ok these might be my favorite..but I have a feeling I’ll be saying that a lot😍 flowers are really starting to come on in bucket loads!

Due to the rain this Wednesday I won’t be putting my stand out but we’ll see if I can still sell some flowers🤞🏼

This summer has been the season of bugs. Every day im battling something new when it comes to bugs. From Japanese beetles, got those semi under control, to slugs, I spread granules in the ground for that, earwigs, I make my own vegetable oil and soy sauce concoction for that and now little tiny grasshoppers, not sure that’s a battle I will win. So I’ve resorted to being that crazy garden lady who is placing organza bags over all my beautiful dahlia blooms in an effort to save them.

Flowers are coming in hot lately, so what will you get in a bouquet? Each bouquet is a little different but some staples this time in the season are sunflowers, yarrow, snapdragons, frosted explosion, rudbeckia. Still to bloom but coming soon is zinnias, celosia and dahlias.
