14 hand-painted softballs in 48 hours for a game that didn’t end the way we hoped.
But here’s the thing… these weren’t really about winning.
They were for a group of girls playing their last softball game together as Saroyan Elementary students before heading off to middle school. They were for the friendships, the laughs in the dugout, the dirt-stained uniforms, the growth, and the memories they’ll carry long after the scoreboard is forgotten.
I’m so proud of every single one of these girls. Thank you for giving us a season worth celebrating.
