Homeowners, be careful with contractors who ask for 50% upfront.
A remodel should not be paid mostly in advance before the work is completed.
A better structure is progress payments, which means payments are made as the project moves forward and certain phases are completed.
This protects the homeowner and keeps the project accountable.
Your payments should be tied to real progress, such as:
Deposit to secure the project
Materials being ordered
Demo starting
Cabinets or tile being installed
Major labor phases being completed
Final walkthrough before the final balance
When too much money is paid upfront, the homeowner takes on more risk.
At Keystone Kitchen and Bath, we believe your remodel should have clear payment milestones, clear expectations, and a structured process from beginning to end.
Your money should follow the progress of the project.
Not promises.
