Don't forget the best part of remodeling!! Designing!! Make sure you are thinking about the design while you are drawing up your plans.

It can be a remodel or from the ground up, you want to think about the placement of things like the TV and the sofa, or the sink and the dishwasher. Keep all those "little" things in mind!

Communication! Make sure that you communicate with your contractor. If you don't understand something during the process, make sure you ask. If you want something specifically done make sure you discuss it with your contractor.

Same, it is important to find a contractor that communicates with you as well. Punctuality and reasonable timelines are something you should be able to rely on as well.

HIRE A CONTRACTOR! I know it sounds silly coming from a Contractor, but it is true! As Professionals, we know how to fix it the right way the first time. Give a contractor a call before there is more damage than before.

**Disclaimer: do your research on the Contractor that you are hiring. Not all contractors are rockstars.

Did you know, you should have a Carbon Monoxide detector in your home? If you were to have a leak you wouldn't know. Having a detector in your home will help keep you and your loved ones safe.

Other tips: get your gas appliances inspected once a year, make sure gas furnaces, water heaters and fireplaces are vented correctly.
