I am a wife to a pretty handy guy and mom to 2 boys who bring me such joy and white hair. I want to share with you why I chose the name Wild Olive Glow. It's no secret that if you are in the market for a spray tan olive skin is the holy Grail. While this is just skin deep I'm a sucker for symbolism and love what an olive branch means all throughout the bible but, specifically in Roman 11:11-25 "Ingrafted Branches" I think it's beautiful that believers of Jesus were the wild Olive branches that were grafted onto share the nourishment of the roots of the cultivated tree (God and his followers such as Moses, Ruth, Abraham, Jacob,Esther and Deborah.) I hope that through this experience we can all find our Wild Olive Glow.

Another successful opening weekend of rifle season. Taking this buck was one of the most exciting hunts I’ve ever had. Our deer lease in Boerne is a special place. My dad first took me out there when I was 4 years old. 29 years of wonderful memories. That place and the men who’ve hunted it with us have taught me a lot about life, the outdoors and how to be a Godly man. I’m blessed to count myself among their number. I am greatly looking forward to taking Emmett next weekend for his second season out there.

First day of Pre School. Hard to believe he’s gonna be 5 in a month. Blessed to be able to go with him to drop him off on his first day. He walked right into his new classroom without so much as a backward glance. Fly high my strong, fearless, wild child.

Another late post but I’m particularly proud of this one. Post freeze kitchen remodel that turned out beautiful. They had multiple pipes burst but the most damage was in the kitchen where the ceiling fell in. Repaired the pipes, completely gutted the kitchen, replaced all drywall and insulation, replaced all electrical outlets and switches, installed new recessed LED lighting, all new cabinets, countertops and appliances and new floors throughout. Pre-fab cabinets but I custom built the corner shelf units. Unfortunate circumstances but she was finally able to get the beautiful kitchen she’s always wanted. Thanks to my main man Junior with Second Generation Painting for the drywall finishing work and excellent paint job on those cabinets.

Super late in posting this one but this was a really fun project. Went to San Antonio for a week back in April to help a family friend build a patio cover in his backyard. All cedar timber framing, cedar tongue & groove ceiling and standing seam metal roof. We worked our butts off but he and I knocked it out in 5 and a half days. Special thanks to the couple of he-man college boys that helped get those massive beams up. Came together beautifully.

Custom cabinet I built for my aunt.
84”x48”x22”. All stain grade birch plywood. It was a challenge building something so big in my little crowded garage but I’m really happy with how it turned out. Fit and finish came out really nice. Good enough to slap some clear on it and leave as is.
