Every yard needs a fence, but not every yard has to make do with a simple wooden fence. You don't have to hide your beautiful landscaping behind a bland 8-ft of wooden wall. Instead, you can take inspiration from this project that wrapped their expansive property in a striking 4 foot metal fence with brick columns (matched to the brick on the home).

It's a stately and impressive look for an undeniably grand property.

Travertine's not just great for around the pool. It's a great upscale option for patios and walkways, porches, wall caps, and even accents. What makes travertine special is it's beautiful (and versatile) color options and its resistance to heat. Unlike concrete, or brick to a lesser degree, natural stones retain less heat, and travertine more than most.

The front entrance to this home in Dallas is a beautiful example of how travertine can light up any outdoor space (pools, patios, and much more).

This metal shade structure has a very unique design:

1. Anchored 4 ft down
2. Supported by only 2 metal posts
3. Tongue and groove wood ceiling
4. Lighting built into the wood
5. "Floats" slightly over the water

We're making good progress on the structure, with only electrical and flooring to install next. And this is just one feature in a spectacular full yard remodel, that we'll share more of as it comes together.

This small backyard is a great example of how incredible even the tightest outdoor spaces can be.

This backyard remodel includes:

1. Inground pool
2. Sunken fire pit and seating area
3. Pool decking and hardscaping
4. Enclosed patio with automated screens
5. Outdoor kitchen in enclosed patio
6. Decorative masonry wall

We're building the fire pit, kitchen and enclosed patios, plus the hardscaping, Waterscapes is building the pool and the masonry wall, and this project was designed by Randy Angell Designs.

Watch for updates as this project progresses. It's going to look so good when it's done!

Here's the rest of the video we shared a few days ago with updates on our backyard remodel in Preston Hollow, walking you through the updates to the turf, a metal pergola, and the final touches like tongue and groove cedar finish.

The pergola is unique because of its cantilevered design and the cedar accent that'll finish of the design. It will make a beautiful poolside lounge when it's finished.

We're making great progress on this backyard remodel in Preston Hollow now:

-All permits have been approved
-Grading is almost complete
-Outdoor kitchen is wired
-Outdoor kitchen's gas lines installed
-Both cantilevered metal pergolas in place

This is a big project with many layers and a lot more work ahead but it's so satisfying to see it coming together day after day.

This front yard remodel replaced old retaining walls with new, stone veneer walls, tiered landscaping beds (and all new landscaping), a brick outlay on the entrance walkway, and a custom natural stone patio that elevates the home above all the neighbors'.
