Early morning visit to the Dallas Arboretum presented a wonderful array of colors. The blooming tulips were amazing. The bloom festival will be going on for another few weeks. Definitely worth a visit!

Let’s visit: Attractive Gardens in the Dallas/Forth Worth Metroplex.
Did you know that Klyde Warren Park in Dallas is located in vibrant Uptown Art District in Dallas over Woodall Rodgers Freeway. It was open to the public in 2012. We first visited it when we moved to Texas recommended by our realtor on the outrageous concept of having a nature park over a freeway. Well, as we all know everything in Texas is bigger and better as the saying goes.
The park was designed by an award-winning landscape architect Jim Burnett. Main concept of the design is to create a sense of discovery as one moves throughout the “different” rooms throughout the 5-acre park.
The sustainable landscape includes 37 native plants and 322 trees. The environmental impact, the park has provided, is not only aesthetic but also economic. The neighborhood of Klyde Park and the Dallas Arts District enjoys 4.3 visitors annually in pre-pandemic years. The community park has established an atmosphere of cultural diversity where individuals could create new traditions, share experiences and have fun in the center of Dallas. It is a remarkable example of how sustainable landscape can transform and enrich a space for everyone to enjoy.

Beautifully landscaped grounds at the Arboretum in Dallas, TX. Must see event coming up “America the Beautiful” Dallas Bloom Festival with more then 500,000 spring-blooming blossoms. Let’s see if the deep freeze of this week will affect the bloom. February 20-April 11. Reserve your tickets!
