We recently finished repairs on some fire related damage at Ole Gin Steakhouse. They received instructions on what they needed to do to pass inspection and meet code. They let us know what needed to be done and asked if we could give them a quote. After waiting for things to get approved for what needed to be done to at least meet those requirements, the owners needed us to get there and make repairs as quickly as possible to prevent further damage from all the rain we’ve had recently. I had previously told them we would repair it as soon as they gave us the go ahead, so that’s what we did.
•Installed metal siding where there was no metal
•Replaced metal roof where the metal had burned and was irreparable
•Installed 4 ft. awning over grill
•Repaired hood vent over grill
•Caulked flashing w/ “Through the Roof”
•Installed 5/8”x4’x12’ fire rated drywall on ceiling into metal purlin framing using corrosion-resistant, self-tapping steel screws
•”Great Stuff” Fireblock insulated foam sealant with code recognizable orange color to seal gaps
•Repaired the front right side of restaurant where the purlins were left hanging with no corner protection from water by cutting purlins flush with building and installing corner/rake trim and caulked flashing with “Through the Roof”
We worked straight through adverse weather conditions, that most anyone else would’ve used as an excuse to go home and do the job later, so that we could get the repairs finished in a timely manner and mitigate any water damage to the restaurant. We don’t just say we can do it, we go to work and get the job done. We got them up to code, grill venting properly, everything done as asked of us, and the roof leak free.
