🚨THIS IS WHY YOU HIRE SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT TO LOOK FOR🚨

At KBS Property Management, we believe a project should be about more than just making a property look better — it needs to be built right, safe, and done with attention to the details that matter.

Our client originally reached out to us with a vision for transforming this property. The existing structure had poor curb appeal, a false dormer, and a sunroom addition that was drafty and cold leaving our client and their guests with some much needed unused space.

But once demolition began, we discovered there was much more going on below the surface. 👀

During demolition, we uncovered several serious concerns with the existing deck:

🔨 Deck boards were too short and did not properly reach the end joist. When stepped upon as you entered the front door the decking boards would flex under the weight of a guest.

🔨 Posts were not properly secured below the required frost depth or set in concrete to help maintain structural integrity.

🔨 Support joists were not properly fastened into their joist hangers and were essentially free-floating.

🔨 Rot to the subfloor had begun to set in causing soft spots, and future mold issues we were able to remediate immediately.

These weren't just cosmetic issues — they were serious structural concerns that could have created a dangerous situation.

Thankfully, our client trusted KBS to take a closer look. Now we're not just giving this property a facelift — we're rebuilding it with safety, function, and quality in mind.

And the finished vision? 🤩

A completely refreshed exterior with a beautiful new design, improved curb appeal, a properly constructed entry, and a property our client can feel confident in for years to come.
