BEFORE THE WALLS CLOSE UP... THINK AHEAD.

When you're building a new home or adding onto your current one, some of the smartest decisions happen while the walls are still open.

One to consider? Blocking.

Blocking adds solid support inside the wall where you may eventually want to mount heavier items, such as:

✅ TVs
✅ Floating shelves
✅ Cabinets
✅ Floating vanities
✅ Handrails
✅ Shower grab bars

You may not need all of these things today, but planning for them during the framing stage can make future installations easier and give you more flexibility as your needs change.

🏡 Planning to stay in your home long-term? Adding blocking in bathrooms for future grab bars is one small detail worth considering before the drywall goes up.

Another big project is getting underway, and this one is going to be a 4,500 sq. ft., two-story home.

The slab is in, and now it’s our turn.

As the framing contractor, our crew is onsite getting everything ready to begin framing and take this project to the next stage. From layout and material preparation to standing walls and building the structure, we’re focused on doing the job right and keeping the project moving.

And yes — it’s Saturday.
