Haven't had time to post but recently got to start work on The Gracy Mansion in the duck pond. My first victorian I worked on when I was 16 is right next door, I've stared at that place for a long time and now I finally get to work on it. How they built those houses, they put the column right over the floorboards, not attached to framing. The gutters are also made where they sit inside the soffit and fascia, with years of leaks, there's a ton of jacking up and securing this magnificent porch. Gonna be a fun one to save.

First time getting to build an outdoor free food pantry. Used a half of a window sash picked up from outside an old house in St. Augustine for the door. Put a coat of chalk paint on for primer, only paint I can really use now but holds up great, it's mostly pigment. The owner's excited to paint it up. :)

Yellow pine from the store today vs. yellow pine from the store in 1900.
Cut these pieces from joists on a house built in 1900 to make muntins for the multiple lites on a window sash. The new stock is for dialing in. :)
