New project kicking off: a full exterior repaint in Cu***ng, GA. 🏡

Before any paint went on, we replaced quite a bit of siding and a good number of pieces of rotten wood, pressure washed, scraped the loose paint and caulked all the way around. Now the paint job starts, using Sherwin-Williams Duration.

This time of year the heavy morning dew means we wait until about 10 or 11 a.m. to start painting. Beautiful day, beautiful project.

Commercial painting in Northeast Georgia. 🏭

Spraying a roll-up door on a commercial property. Before the sprayer comes out, everything around the door gets masked in plastic so only the door gets paint.

Day 3 on our full exterior repaint here in Gainesville. 🏡

We're using Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint on this home. All the brick is papered off to keep it protected, and we've worked our way almost all the way around the house. It's a pretty big house, and it looks like we'll wrap it up tomorrow. A great project for us.

Day 2 on our full exterior repaint here in Gainesville. 🏡

Yesterday the crew pressure washed and caulked everything. This home needed quite a bit of rotten wood repair, and today it's the deck: the outer band is starting to kick out from under it. We're jacking the deck up, taking the supports out, replacing that outer band and rehanging all the floor joists, then setting the deck back down on its supports.

Pretty extensive repair, but we should start painting today. Great project, and we're thankful to have it.

Day one on a full exterior repaint here in Gainesville. 🏡

Monday morning, 8:30 AM, and the crew is already pressure washing the whole house to get it clean before any paint goes on.

This home has a good bit of rotten wood: fascia boards, garage door trim and several other pieces that have to be replaced. If it supports our paint job, we do the carpentry too, including rotten wood replacement, so the new paint goes on solid wood.

Beautiful day, beautiful project, and we're thankful to have it.

Fall is a great time to repaint your exterior. 🍂

October's cooler, drier days are ideal for exterior paint to go on right and cure well. At Wheeler Painting we use Sherwin-Williams Duration on exteriors, a premium exterior paint made for Georgia sun, humidity and weather.

In this clip: our crew spraying a front door, painting a wall, working on siding up on the ladder, and the Duration can we use on exterior jobs. Every job starts with prep: taping, masking, washing, scraping and caulking before any paint goes on.

Crown molding, sprayed. 🎨

Tall ceilings call for a ladder, a steady hand and a sprayer. Here's one of our painters spraying the crown molding where the wall meets a high ceiling.

The prep happens before the sprayer ever comes out. The light fixture is bagged, the railing is wrapped in plastic and the edges are taped off, so the only thing getting paint is the trim.

Thinking about refreshing your trim, walls or ceilings? Call or text 678-943-6720 for a free estimate, or visit www.wheelerpaint.com.

Just finished a pre-bid walkthrough for a 37,000 sq ft commercial facility in Northeast Georgia. 🏭🎨

The project is a full repaint, inside and out. They manufacture products here, so I can't show the trademarks, but I did sneak you a quick peek at the building.

Walking a job in person before we bid it lets us see the real scope up close, so the number we hand in is based on what's actually there.

We submit our bid tomorrow. I feel good about our chances, but either way I'm thankful our company is respected enough to be invited to the table. I'll keep you posted!
