At PCC Construction Components, Inc., safety isn’t just a priority it’s the foundation of everything we do.

We’re proud to be recognized as a STEP Diamond Level Safety Company the highest level awarded by ABC Metro Washington a reflection of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards both in the office and on every job site.

Our team takes safety seriously, every single day:
* Daily toolbox talks and Morning huddles led by our Senior Superintendents and Superintendents.
* Routine job site safety inspections and audits across all active projects.
* Ongoing training and education to keep our crews informed and prepared.
* A culture that empowers every employee to speak up and take action when it comes to safety.

We had such a wonderful time on Wednesday evening thank you to Women Building Washington and ABC Metro Washington for hosting a beautiful Spring Garden event at Woodend Sanctuary and Gardens! 🌸

From the delicious food and beverages to the incredible magician who left us all amazed with some truly mind-blowing tricks, it was an evening full of fun and great energy.

Most of all, we loved the opportunity to connect catching up with familiar faces and meeting new industry colleagues along the way. It was a fantastic night had by the women of PCC!

Looking forward to the next one!

Take Your Kid to Work Day 2026 at PCC Construction Components, Inc.

What a day to remember! We loved welcoming the next generation of builders, thinkers, and creators to PCC for Take Your Kid to Work Day 2026.

Our young guests got a hands-on look at what we do every day from learning about our projects and exploring the different departments, to checking out the tools, equipment and PPE, and vehicles that help bring our work to life. They even got to see glass manipulators and lifting devices in action, try their hand at caulking, participate in water testing, and safely learn how drills are used on the job.

Each child received a custom PCC coloring book filled with worksheets and pages featuring our real projects both past and present plus their very own safety vest, goggles, and PCC backpack to take home all their goodies.

We kicked off the morning with a sweet breakfast, enjoyed pizza for lunch, and spent the day learning just how many hands and how much teamwork it takes to bring a project across the finish line.

A huge thank you to Sunbelt Rentals for bringing equipment for the kids to explore, and to all of our amazing PCC parents who helped make today so special.

The kids had an incredible time, learned so much, and we can’t wait to welcome them back next year so we can see how much they’ve grown on our custom PCC Youth Team measuring stick, handcrafted by our Sr. Superintendent, John Pali!

Project Spotlight- One of our favorite projects at PCC Construction Components, Inc. is the impressive 1000 South Capitol Street Building, located in the vibrant Capitol Riverfront just steps away from Nationals Park.

This striking 250-unit residential building offers luxury amenities, high-end finishes, and spectacular views overlooking the United States Capitol, Downtown Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

PCC Construction Components, Inc. was proud to contribute to this landmark project by installing the metal panel façade and rainscreen system, helping create the modern exterior that defines the building’s architectural presence in the skyline. We had the privilege of collaborating with the talented team at Shalom Baranes Associates, whose design vision brought this incredible project to life.

Projects like this are a reminder of how collaboration, craftsmanship, and attention to detail help shape the built environment in our nation’s capital.

We’re grateful to have been part of a project that continues to stand out in one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in Washington, D.C.

On Monday, the women of PCC Construction Components, Inc. had the opportunity to attend the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Metro Washington Women Building Washington event for a Women’s Self-Defense class at Krav Oz in Germantown, MD.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to participate in such an empowering and educational experience. The class provided hands-on instruction in practical self-defense techniques, teaching us how to stay aware of our surroundings, assess situations quickly, and react with confidence in any environment.

The instructors at Krav Oz emphasized the importance of situational awareness and showed us how to respond decisively if faced with a threat — including how to deliver powerful, effective strikes to defend ourselves if necessary. It was an eye-opening and empowering experience for everyone who attended.

A huge thank you to the Women Building Washington Committee for organizing such a meaningful event and creating opportunities for women in our industry to connect, learn, and grow together. We truly appreciate the effort that goes into putting these events together and are thankful to have been part of it!

As we close out Women in Construction Week 2026, PCC Construction Components, Inc. would like to recognize the incredible women behind the scenes who keep our organization running like a well-oiled machine — our Administrative Team.

A special thank you to Katy Press, Human Resources Manager, Brit Sill, Finance Manager, and Mercedes Hawkins, Administrative Assistant. These dedicated professionals play a critical role in the daily operations of PCC and help ensure our team stays organized, supported, and successful.

Running a construction company takes far more than what happens in the field. Behind every project are the administrative professionals managing human resources, payroll and financials, coordinating documentation, supporting project teams, handling correspondence, organizing contracts and job files, and keeping communication flowing between our clients, vendors, and general contractors. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensures that every part of our operation stays on track.

They are often the first friendly faces and voices our partners encounter, greeting everyone with a smile and providing service that reflects the high standards of PCC’s mission. And of course, like many in construction, we run on plenty of coffee from Dunkin and Starbucks to keep the day moving!

At PCC Construction Components, we strive for success in everything we do. The hard work, dedication, and professionalism that Katy, Brit, and Mercedes bring every day help drive PCC toward a strong and successful future alongside the rest of our amazing team.

Thank you for everything you do — and for helping make Women in Construction Week 2026 such a meaningful celebration at PCC.
