Basic Lawn Mowing tips in spring

Step 1: How often should I mow my lawn?
In spring, regular mowing should happen about every 3-4 days.
Remember, you are ONLY trying to take about 1/3 of the grass blades at a single mow. This results in the greenest, healthiest lawn. :)

Step 2: Mower maintenance
The second thing you should do is make sure that trusty mower has a newly sharpened set of cutting blades, and the inside is relatively free of debris. This cuts down on spreading disease pathogens like molds, and improves the cut quality! See this great article on practicing proper mowing.

Fall is Here!
-Leaf blowing and cleanups
-Curbside leaf pickup
-Snow plowing, Snow blowing and shoveling

WOW! Fall is here and winter is right around the corner.. So we are providing service on leaf cleanup, and Snow removal services. We have a leaf vacuum that we will remove and haul away leaves at a reasonable rate semi weekly.

-leaves sitting on grass for extended periods is NOT GOOD. So....
-semi weekly leaf cleanup for properties with lawns
-leaf cleanups in November for larger wooded properties without lawns.
-pruning of shrubs and ornamentals after leaf cleanup.

November has snow forecasted so please reach out for any last minute snow removal requests.

Weeds Be Gone!

Now that we finally have rainfall and cooler temperatures, we have lawns greening up a bit and recovering from summer heat.

But so are the w**ds! SO this being the case w**d controls will work and be MOST effective as the w**ds are actively growing again. So we will start treating these later this fall to better improve your lawn.

The Best time to treat certain w**ds like dandelion and plantain are later in fall timed shortly after a hard frost.
