480 volt services require non fused safety mains be installed ahead of the meter for worker safety when servicing the meter base and line side terminals on the main fusible disconnect

Arc flash, voltage, and NFPA guidelines covering proper personal protection equipment placards should also be posted on all service equipment and panels. Understanding proper Grounding and bonding practices is important on any project. Always follow NFPA 70 guidelines when working on high voltage equipment!
