Stream Restoration, Wetland Creation, Reforestation Environmental Quality Resources, LLC, is a multi-disciplinary, environmental construction company.

We specialize in stream restoration, wetland mitigation, reforestation, shoreline stabilization and storm water management. EQR’s team combines scientific backgrounds, construction knowledge and respect for the environment to provide a full range of installation, monitoring and maintenance services. Our ability to deliver cost effective, high quality services has resulted in an extensive base of repeating and satisfied clients, including federal agencies, state and local government, private landowners, commercial/residential developers, homeowner associations, and private foundations. EQR’s work has been located principally in the mid-Atlantic region but has also included projects in Ohio, Georgia and Texas.

Company picnic: SUCCESS!

Every fall, we bring the EQR crew together for a day of good food, laughs, and catching up. Our teams are usually spread all across Maryland and Virginia, so sometimes this is the one day a year when everyone gets to hang out in the same place—not wearing a hard hat or standing on a jobsite!

This year was extra special as we continue celebrating 35 years of EQR. Three and a half decades of great projects, hard work, and an even better team.

Invasive species treatment takes work—and a lot of attention to detail. Over the last few weeks, our crews have been performing targeted basal spraying on invasive Autumn Olive and Multiflora Rose. Some of these plants were nearly 48 inches tall, requiring our crews to use machetes to cut them down before treating the roots. It’s intensive, hands-on work, but it’s an important part of restoring the site’s long-term health.

This work is also just one piece of a much larger wetland and stream restoration project. Multiple EQR crews are working in tandem across the site—one restoring the stream, another building wetlands, and another tackling invasive species. Each crew has a different role, but their collective efforts help the project achieve one common goal: creating a healthier watershed that will only provide more benefits as the site matures.

Restoration takes teamwork, patience, and plenty of hard work. 🌱

Great projects start with great partnerships. We're incredibly thankful to work alongside GreenVest, LLC, the South Baltimore Gateway Partnership, and Reimagine Middle Branch as part of the Middle Branch Resiliency Initiative. Every project we complete together is about more than construction—it's about creating a stronger, healthier, and more resilient community.

Many of our restoration projects are designed to blend into nature so seamlessly that, after a few years, it looks like we were never there. But the work happening in the Middle Branch is something the community is meant to see and engage with every day. These projects are creating lasting spaces that protect the shoreline, improve the environment, and benefit the people who call South Baltimore home. Here's to many more projects that leave a lasting impact—together.

Stream restoration in sight! Our EQR team is hard at work on the Providence Point stream restoration and stormwater outfall project, designed by Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., alongside our concrete partners at Reliable Contracting Company, Inc..

While our team is constructing the restored stream channel, Reliable Contracting is handling the neighborhood’s concrete and asphalt work. It’s a great example of how different teams can work side by side to support a growing community. This restoration is taking place alongside a new senior living community, making the project an important balance between meeting housing needs and protecting the local environment.

New development and environmental stewardship don’t have to be competing priorities. With thoughtful planning, collaboration, and restoration, we can build for the community while protecting the natural resources around it. 🌱
