Project kickoff underway in Savannah, GA 🚧

We recently kicked off work with Garney at the City of Savannah Industrial & Domestic Water Treatment Plant. Our scope includes the construction of four new bulk chemical storage facilities and the replacement of two chemical distribution systems.

These projects may not always make for flashy photos, but they play a major role in maintaining safe, reliable water infrastructure for the community. Proud of our team and partners as work gets underway!

Last month, the team from BRW had a great time attending Frances Meeks Elementary career fair and talking with students about the construction industry!

We loved giving students a look into the world of heavy civil construction, water and wastewater infrastructure, and the equipment and teamwork it takes to build projects that serve our communities every day.

Thank you to the school, staff, and students for having us — we enjoyed answering questions and hopefully inspiring a few future builders along the way! 🚧👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

BRW Construction Group is proud to have partnered with the City of Savannah on the New Lift Station and Force Main to Travis Field project, designed by Thomas & Hutton.

This critical infrastructure project includes the installation of approximately 6,200 LF of 30-inch force main through challenging wetland conditions, as well as a 36-inch HDPE bore beneath Pipe Makers Canal.

A key milestone included the ex*****on of a complex tie-in along Dean Forest Road utilizing a 16-inch double line stop and bypass system, allowing the existing system to remain fully operational throughout construction.

Upon completion, the new lift station will be the largest in the City’s system—enhancing capacity, reliability, and long-term service to the Travis Field area.

BRW Construction Group remains committed to delivering safe, high-quality infrastructure solutions in even the most demanding environments.

We’re proud to announce the successful completion of the Thomson, GA Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements—now fully operational and upgraded from top to bottom.

This project included a full replacement of nearly all process equipment, major electrical system upgrades, and extensive structural improvements, all completed while maintaining uninterrupted plant operations. Key upgrades included effluent vertical turbine pumps, a brand-new MCC building with replacement of all existing electrical switchgear, and refurbishment of the laboratory and office spaces for modernized operations.

A major highlight of this project was the phased sequencing. Completing a project of this scale —without disrupting service to any existing plant operations—is no small feat, and we’re proud to have delivered a modernized, efficient facility that will serve the community for years to come.

Another great project in the books.
