Welcome to the NTD Crew Board, our new monthly feature for the people, milestones, and good news.

This month, we’re celebrating August birthdays, work anniversaries, new team members, and a note from Yesenia Garcia, our "Chief Bibes Officer" (Bibes: vibes with a ‘B’ for business).

The work we do is technical, demanding, and often fast-moving, but the reason NTD keeps building a higher standard is simple: the people.

Thank you to every team member who shows up, solves problems, supports the crew, and helps keep the work moving.

Sometimes a service call becomes an engineering challenge.

At one facility, our service team was called to investigate a visible plume that was raising concerns for employees working in the space. Once it became clear the issue extended beyond routine maintenance, they brought in Landon Cantrell, NTD's Director of Engineering, to evaluate potential solutions.

Rather than treating it as a standard service issue, the conversation shifted toward engineering, exploring localized exhaust and makeup air strategies to help the facility team better understand and address the concern.

This is one of the advantages of having experienced service professionals and engineering expertise working together. When an issue falls outside the scope of a typical service call, the right people can step in with a broader technical perspective.

Meet Kyle Mackey, one of the project managers helping keep NTD projects moving.

Kyle first joined NTD in 2018, spent time in the mechanical engineering world, and came back to NTD as a project manager with a perspective that blends technical understanding with field-focused follow-through.

Clocked in, Kyle is thinking through schedules, equipment, communication, and the details that help fast-moving projects stay organized. Clocked out, he is a sports guy through and through, with baseball and hockey high on the list.

It is the reminder before the work begins. The planning before the lift. The hydration, PPE, communication, and jobsite awareness that helps teams stay focused when the pressure is high and the Texas heat is real.

School projects leave little room for guesswork. Tight schedules, existing conditions, equipment lead times, and constant coordination between general contractors, vendors, facility teams, and field crews all play a critical role in delivering a successful project.

Students may never see the mechanical systems that make a school comfortable and operational, but they experience the results on day one when the building is ready.

Pride is something you practice.

It shows up long before the work begins - in the preparation, the planning, and the attention to detail. It shows up in how people communicate when schedules get tight, how they support the team around them, and how they keep showing up when the work gets challenging.

We were grateful for the invitation to be part of one of the most recognized Fourth of July celebrations in Texas.

It was an incredible experience to spend time with partners and friends, and to be included in such a special celebration.
