Haven’t posted in a bit, year or more I guess 🤦‍♂️ Time flies when you’re busy having fun! This is a coil repair on a condenser unit we performed recently. This homeowner was quoted all kinds of outrageous prices and told all kinds of stories. When other folks wanna charge you 2,000.00 for a new coil or 6,000.00 for a unit give us a call. This particular customer was leak located/repaired and unit recharged before noon. Out the door for under 600.00.

Homeowner called today and explained that another heating and air conditioning service company had just left his home. The technician told this gentleman that he had a leak in his 8 year old system at the indoor coil. What bothered this customer is the service tech told him he had a leak it couldn't be fixed and went and sat in his van. The tech waited for a sales representative from his company to arrive and left when the rep pulled in the driveway. The homeowner then described he felt pressured and rushed the next 45 minutes as the salesman went over all options on a new system. He called me after the salesman left and told me the issue. He said he lived two miles from my home and had noticed our sign earlier in the week. He asked if I could come give a second opinion. I got to the call and hooked up gauges, the unit was empty. I pumped the system up to 350 psi with nitrogen and headed to the indoor coil with soap leak detection bubbles. After 45 min under the house I couldn't find a leak in the indoor coil. Once I took of the top on the outdoor unit and shifted the copper pipes I could instantly hear the leak. Two copper pipes had been vibrating together for 8 years and had finally created a leak. I showed the homeowner the results, quickly repaired the leak. The system was back up and running within a few hours. The homeowner was extremely pleased with the repair bill that saved him thousands he thought he had to spend on a new unit he did not need. Been a while since our last post but we have been very busy answering service calls for no ac as of lately! Just a friendly reminder the heat is coming and our promotional 75 dollar ac cleaning/preventative maintenance special will be ending on June 15. At that time it will return to our normal 120.00 rate per unit. Now is the time to reserve your Air Conditioning cleaning at the spring promotional discount rate, please don't miss out!! The pictures shown are of a 4 year old unit cleaned earlier today, the homeowner was amazed at the amount of dirt and debris on this fairly new unit. A bunch of our new customers for service calls have informed us that other Hvac service companies are on long waits and saying it might be some time before they can get to them. A few before and after photos of a condenser I cleaned today. Just cleaning this coil alone lowered the temperature coming out of the supply registers down 8 degrees!

Summer is approaching quickly and the sticky miserable dog days of summer will be upon us before we know it. The North Carolina summer will push any air condition unit to its limits! The number one proactive measure you can take as a homeowner to prevent sudden unforeseen breakdowns and expenses is to keep your filters changed regularly. Also, have your family's unit cleaned twice a year. Much like a clogged filter, a dirty coil, either inside or out will prohibit proper heat transfer, thus creating more strain on your unit and increasing your power consumption. We would love the opportunity to come out and conduct a cooling check/ coil cleaning to you and your family's unit. This service entails cleaning both indoor and outdoor coils of dust, dirt and any other contaminants. As well as, clearing the condensation drain of any blockages that may prohibit proper drainage of water from the home.
