As you prepare for the upcoming ice storm and possible power outages, it’s important to understand how generator wattage outputs actually work.
The only number that matters is RUNNING (continuous) watts — not the peak number on the box.
And just because a generator has a 30A or 50A outlet does not mean it can deliver that much power.
👉 Watts determine amps
👉 Outlet size doesn’t create power
👉 Peak watts only last a few seconds
