A few years ago, I had a vision while standing in my shop, I saw young men gathered around, eager to learn the art of woodworking. I shared this vision with our church men's group a couple of years ago, and after several meetings and with the incredible support of the men at Turning Point UPC, that vision became a reality today. Since first discussing this Mentor Day, God has brought others into my life who shared similar ideas for a program like this. Today, I had the privilege of witnessing many young men I've known most of their lives discover new skills. We often get caught up in our busy lives and neglect to slow down and mentor those who look up to us. Today was a powerful reminder, and I firmly believe we have an even bigger vision for Mentor Day in the future. Stay tuned…
