🌿 August Thrive Spotlight! This month’s Thrive recognition goes to Debbie, our peer-elected recipient for Innovate & Adapt! 🎉

Debbie joined Poplar Point Studio in June, and somehow, it feels like she’s been part of the team much longer. She has jumped right in, embraced new challenges, and has already made quite an impression.

You may not see them out in the gardens very often, but behind the scenes, Leigh, Lisa & Linda are working hard to keep Poplar Point Studio running smoothly. They keep track of the numbers, the details, the paperwork, and approximately a million other important things!

And apparently, they also have an unofficial Finance Team dress code… because somehow these three are always coordinating their outfits. Totally unplanned, of course. 😂

Three L’s. One powerhouse team. And a whole lot of work happening behind the scenes. We’re lucky to have them! 💚

🐝 Apparently, word got out about the garden party. 🦋

Last year, we installed this pollinator garden in Cayuga Heights, filled with Monarda, Liatris, Asclepias, Joe Pye, Coreopsis, Mountain Mint, Milkweed, and much more!

This year? The guests have arrived. 🐦🐞🐛

Hummingbirds, bees, butterflies, moths, and all kinds of pollinators have been making themselves at home—and honestly, we don’t blame them.

🍂 Fall containers are coming!

September is when we start trading Summer blooms for rich Fall color, texture, and a little seasonal drama. Think mums, ornamental grasses, cabbages, and all the cozy Fall goodness. 🍁

We’re starting Fall container installs soon and still have room on the schedule! If you’d like to freshen up your containers for the season, reach out and let’s get you on the list.

These 31" EarthPlanter are doing their thing overlooking Cayuga Lake—and we’re loving how they’ve grown in!

We guess we’ll tell you their secret… 😉
Self-watering planters + monthly maintenance visits keep them hydrated, fed, groomed, and growing all season long.

Working for the Long Term 👏 Not every garden needs to be completely transformed in one season.

This year, we’re working with a client in Cayuga Heights to get an existing garden back under control. We removed boxwoods that she didn’t love and that were struggling with infestation, leaving the bed clean and mulched for now.

And that’s okay! 🌿

Because we love working with clients long term, this year is about establishing a clean slate and maintaining it. Then, next year, we can revisit the space together and talk about what we’d like to plant and how we want the bed to evolve.

Good gardens take time—and sometimes the best plan is to take it one step at a time. 🌱

A little time, a little sunshine, and a whole lot of growing! These containers have really filled in beautifully. 🔅

Our monthly maintenance visits help keep them looking their best with regular cleanups, deadheading, and fertilizing throughout the season.

We love a little PDA. 😂 Especially when it comes from a happy client who was publicly hyping us up on Facebook while we were still on site!
