Surprise!
We got a last-minute invitation to join the Covington Street Fest tonight!

We’ll be set up in Downtown Covington from 5–9 PM with a selection of houseplants, succulents, and plant goodies. There will be live music, food, shopping, pony rides, giant bubbles, a foam party, face painting, and more!

Because we’ll be in Covington, our shop will not be open tonight.

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family, come see us and enjoy an evening downtown! 💚

Three years ago. 🌿❤️

This was J&J Plants.

A folding table in the driveway. A porch full of plants. A young helper excited to see people stop by. A dream that was still trying to figure out what it wanted to become.

We were already doing farmers markets, but we were still very much in the “let’s just try this and see what happens” stage. We didn’t have all the answers. We didn’t have a big plan mapped out. We were learning as we went and hoping people would love plants as much as we did.

Looking back at these photos makes me a little emotional.

Not because of how much the business has grown, but because of everything that happened between then and now. The late nights. The early mornings. The learning curves. The setbacks. The excitement of a great sale. The friendships we’ve made. The memories we’ve created as a family.

Sometimes when you’re living day-to-day, it’s easy to focus on how far you still want to go.

Then a memory like this pops up and reminds you just how far you’ve already come.

What I see in these pictures isn’t just a small porch sale.

I see hope.

I see courage.

I see a family willing to start before they had it all figured out.

And honestly, I think that’s something worth being proud of. 🌱

This little dream has grown so much over the last three years, and we’re excited to see where it takes us next. ❤️

🌿 Plant Spotlight: Braided Money Tree 🌿

Did you pick up a Braided Money Tree from us recently? Here’s a few quick care tips!

☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light is best. A spot near a window with filtered light is perfect.

💧 Water: Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry before watering. Money Trees don’t like to sit in soggy soil.

🌡️ Temperature: They prefer warm temperatures and don’t appreciate cold drafts.

🌱 Growth Tip: Rotate your plant every few weeks to encourage even growth and keep it looking full.

✨ Fun fact: Money Trees are often associated with good luck, prosperity, and positive energy!

Have a Money Tree at home? Share a picture in the comments—we’d love to see it!

🌿 Purple Passion Plant Spotlight 🌿

Did you pick up a Purple Passion plant from us this weekend?

These fuzzy purple beauties are known for their vibrant color and velvety leaves!

💜 Bright, indirect light keeps the purple color at its best.
💧 Water when the top inch of soil feels dry.
🌱 They prefer well-draining soil and don’t like to stay soggy.
✂️ If they start getting long and leggy, don’t be afraid to pinch them back to encourage fuller growth.

Fun fact: The purple color comes from tiny hairs covering the leaves, giving them that soft, velvety look!

We had a wonderful weekend helping 56 plants find new homes between our events this weekend! 🌿💚

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shopped with us, shared plant stories, and supported our little family business. Every purchase means so much to us.

This was our first time juggling both events at the same time, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the support.

We’ll be back at Market at the Square this Saturday and would love to see you there! 🌿
