As summer comes to a close, we’re wishing Gavin Ortiz all the best as he heads back to college!
During his internship with Synergy Commercial Construction, Gavin gained hands-on experience across several areas of the construction process, from estimating projects to visiting active job sites, shadowing project superintendents, and participating in site safety training. He also had the opportunity to take part in a milestone topping-out event, celebrating an exciting stage of construction alongside the project team.
And it wasn’t all bids, job sites, and hard hats! Gavin also found time to put his skills to a different kind of test, building paper airplanes and teaching a coworker’s son how to make a few of his own. ✈️ Sometimes the best lessons in construction start with a single sheet of paper!
We’re grateful for the energy and willingness to learn that Gavin brought to the SCC team this summer. We hope the experience, connections, and knowledge he gained serve him well as he continues his education and prepares for his future career.
