Your HVAC system may be making cold air, but damaged or poorly installed ductwork can keep it from reaching your home efficiently.
During this crawlspace inspection, we found sagging flex duct lying on the ground, water collected inside a low section, and condensation around poorly insulated supply boots. These issues can restrict airflow, increase run times, and eventually lead to moisture damage.
If your system struggles to keep up or certain rooms don't cool properly, the problem could be underneath the house not the HVAC equipment.

A duct inspection can reveal problems you’d never see from inside the home.
On this inspection, we found flex duct runs that are poorly supported, sagging, and routed with sharp bends, restrictions, uninsulated boots and joints coming apart. Issues like these can reduce airflow, increase static pressure, and make your HVAC system work harder than it should.
Your equipment may be running but is the ductwork delivering the air properly to each room in the house? In this instance some of the rooms were not getting enough air and the humidity was high inside.

Grateful to have helped coordinate a new roof for one of the widows at our church. We gathered several quotes, reviewed the options with the elders, and coordinated with the selected contractor to get the project completed.
A great example of what can be accomplished when a church family comes together to help someone in need.

We don’t normally do tree work—except on our own properties! This one was dying and way too close to the house, so it was time for it to come down.
After an afternoon of paddleboarding at the lake with the boys, we came home and decided to tackle it together. A little family teamwork, a lot of cleanup, and the project was a total success!

It’s not just what’s on the outside that matters!
Leaves, dirt, and debris can build up in the bottom of your outdoor A/C unit, while a dirty condenser coil can make your system work harder to get rid of heat.
A little cleanup can go a long way. We cleared out the debris and gave the condenser coil a thorough cleaning to help this system breathe easier and operate more efficiently.
Your outdoor unit works hard all summer—give it the maintenance it deserves!

Out with the old and in with the new!
In Part 3, we’re installing the new condenser fan motor, getting the fan blade properly positioned, and putting everything back together.
A seized condenser fan motor means the outdoor unit can’t properly reject heat, and continuing to run the system can lead to bigger—and more expensive—problems.
One bad motor doesn’t always mean you need a whole new system. Sometimes, the right repair is all it takes.

With the condenser opened up, the next step is removing the fan blade and the failed motor.

This motor had been squealing badly before it finally seized completely, leaving the system unable to cool properly. Catching unusual noises early can sometimes prevent a breakdown when you need your A/C the most.

This has been the one of the easiest fan blade removal. Sometimes they are rusted together and it takes a while to separate the two.
Next up: installing the new motor and getting this system back in operation.

Sometimes the repair starts with getting everything out of the way.

Removing the condenser top to get access to the components inside. Taking the time to disassemble equipment properly helps prevent damage and makes diagnosing and repairing the system easier.
