We don't play favorites...but you do. While we're pleased to offer over twenty wood options, there are undeniably a few choices that our community loves best. Here are the most popular wood species for exterior doors, according to the real experts (you):
-White Oak: the all-weather all-star, with natural water resistance and valiant strength
-Sapele: A gorgeous auburn toned wood, the perfect alternative to Mahogany
-Black Walnut: the premier American luxury hardwood, with beautifully rich color set against streaks of blonde.
-Douglas Fir: Rustic, but clean, this is the go-to for large format doors that need to be reliable, but not overly heavy.
-Knotty Alder: A lower cost option that gives you the true hardwood look and feel for less.
So, now that you know, which one would you choose for your front door?
