Frost Free Spigot - Are they really? Frost Free Spigots are great but there is one thing you must do to be sure they work correctly.
You MUST disconnect any hose attached before the freezing weather hits. The spigot needs to drain so that water isn't trapped inside the tube. If not, the water in the tube will freeze and can split the spigot which will then leak inside when you turn the spigot on in the spring.
Prevent this by disconnecting any hoses prior to freezing weather.
