Sandlapper Surveying, LLC is looking to hire a Survey Field Technician. This particular position will be working directly in the field (outdoors) in various locations, terrain and seasonal weather. Daily job assignments will be predominately in the SC regions of Lexington County, Richland County, Saluda County, Aiken County and Newberry County.

Sandlapper Surveying, LLC is a small surveying company based in Gilbert, SC. The smallness of our company allows our staff opportunities to grow and train in many different functions & aspects of field work (both in and out of the office).
Typical surveying activities performed include residential, commercial and construction duties as needed. Duties and responsibilities will vary based on day’s job and will not be limited to job title.

• Work is mostly performed outdoors under the full range of weather conditions typically experienced throughout all seasons of the year.
• Ability to walk for extended periods over irregular terrain while carrying and/or employing any of the full range of surveying equipment. The weight of such equipment is typically less than 30 lbs.
• Pick up and carry equipment, tools or supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. for short distances and assist others to do the same. This includes the loading and unloading of such items into and out of vehicles, storage areas, etc.
• Remove and replace manhole lids and covers weighing approx. 50 lbs., with assistance.

Candidate MUST have reliable transportation to and from the office, a valid driver's license in good standing, be safety conscious, be able to follow directions, work within a crew environment and have a strong work ethic.

Experience preferred but entry level positions are available, and training will be provided.

Candidate MUST be able to pass background check and drug screening.

Educational requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range: $10/hr to $15/hr based on Land Surveying experience.
