Greenhouse Grower Assistant (Seasonal with Growth Opportunity)

Gardens by Trista Plant Centre is looking for a Greenhouse
Grower Assistant to join our team this spring—with the potential to grow into a larger role over time.

Position Details:
• Schedule: 3 days per week (including one weekend day required)
• Season: April through the end of June
• Environment: Fast-paced greenhouse setting

What You’ll Do:
• Work closely with the grower to learn:
• Watering schedules
• Fertilizer programs
• Assist with daily greenhouse operations and plant care

Growth Opportunity:
• This role is ideal for someone interested in eventually taking on more responsibility and helping lead greenhouse operations

What We’re Looking For:
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working in warm/hot greenhouse conditions
• Eagerness to learn and take direction

Join the team at Gardens by Trista as a Landscape Technician! We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who love the outdoors and have a passion for horticulture. This is a physically demanding role that involves working in a fun and supportive atmosphere. If you enjoy working with plants and creating beautiful landscapes, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planting, maintenance, and care of various landscapes.
• Work on projects including garden installations, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
• Operate landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
• Passion for horticulture and working with plants.
• Ability to perform physically intense tasks in various weather conditions.
• No experience required; willing to train the right candidate.
• No-smoker preferred.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation to the Northern Catskills area.
