We finished our first restoration of the season last week on Lopez Island. We started by installing tongue and groove between the rafters of the deck ceilings, sandblasted, buffed & applied borates. We then stained the upstairs, railings, soffits & porch ceilings using Transformation Siding and Trim in Honey Timber. For the logs, we used Sashco Capture stain in Red Cedar. 2 coats of stain & 1 coat of Capture Clear Matte’ on top of all that. 2 coats of Deck Defense for the decks in Mission Brown. We then tore off the old clear porch roofing & installed new clear roofing in its place & installed new facia & flashing on the gable end where there was none. Extra thanks to the crew , & for braving the elements, insanely long hours & attention to detail.

One from last fall. We blasted with recycled glass, buffed/sanded, applied borates, applied 2 coats of Sashco Capture stain in Wheat color & 1 coat of Sashco Cascade clear in Semi-Gloss. We used Sherwin Williams Woodsapes full body stain in Fedora Color for the window trim, railings, barge boards & facias. We also replaced the barge boards & repaired facias.

One from last summer… we blasted, buffed/sanded, applied borates & stained using 2 coats of Sashco’s Capture stain in Autumn Aspen & 1 coat of Cascade Clear Matte’. This was our 6th project this summer. We camped out for this one on Lummi island. We blasted with glass, sanded/buffed, repaired log rot on all 4 corners, applied borates, stained 2 coats of Sashco Capture stain in hazelnut for the house & chestnut for trim & facia, repaired chinking & finally applied Cascade clear coat matte’. Beautiful place with a special story & feeling.

We blasted with glass, buffed/sanded, repaired rot, applied borates, stained 2 coats of Sashco Capture in Bronze Pine, clear coated with Sashco Cascade matte’ & then applied Weatherall chinking in woodtone.
