Superior Fence sponsored the April Cattlemen’s meeting with Jobe Publishing. Jeff Chapman spoke to the membership about what Superior has to offer Barren County and surrounding Farmers.

Job Title: Retail & Office Assistant – Farm Fence Store

Location: Superior Fence Systems, Inc.
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $16 / hourly

About Us:
We’re a locally owned farm fence and supply store dedicated to serving farmers, ranchers, and property owners with top-quality fencing products and honest service. We’re looking for a reliable, friendly, and organized team member to help with both in-store customer service and day-to-day office duties.

Job Responsibilities:

Retail Sales:

- Greet and assist walk-in customers with product inquiries, pricing, and recommendations
- Explain product features and help customers select fencing materials (posts, wire, gates, tools, etc.)
- Process sales using POS system
- Maintain a clean and organized storefront, restock inventory as needed
- Load small orders (must be able to lift up to 50lbs) and coordinate with yard staff for larger pickups

Office Duties:

- Answer phone calls and relay messages to appropriate team member
- Create and manage sales orders, quotes, and invoices
- Assist with scheduling deliveries and tracking inventory
- Support purchasing and receiving processes
- Perform general admin tasks: filing, data entry, and basic record keeping

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or office work preferred (agriculture or hardware experience a plus)
- MUST be comfortable using computers and basic office software (Excel, QuickBooks, POS systems)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to lift and move materials occasionally
- Friendly/Positive attitude and willingness to learn about our products
