Before & After eliminating a 4" cast-iron toilet drain and 2" galvanized vent in the ceiling above a kitchen.
We were able to reduce the 4" to 3" using all new PVC and raised both DWVs in the ceiling eliminating the need for a soffit. Replacing the cast-iron drain original to the home gave our client additional peace of mind remodeling a brand new kitchen below.

Customer - "Why isn't my kitchen sink draining? I just had it rodded out!"

Dream Home Plumbing was called to asses a kitchen drain that clogs up yearly after the holildays and customer was tired of paying for rodding. We cut into 2" galvanized kitchen drain to find a perfect example of what happens when you power rod a heavily grease lined pipe. We cleaned the hardened grease and replaced 5' section dumping into the main building sewer. Filled sink with boiling water, drained, and tested for leaks. 👍

Happy World Plumbing Day! March 11 is a day every year that we stop and reflect on the impact that plumbing makes on our every day lives.
It's easy to take for granted some of the amenities we utilize each day, such as taking a shower, doing laundry, or pouring a glass from the tap; but none of it would be possible without the hard work of plumbers. World Plumbing Day is a day to recognize the huge impact plumbing has worldwide and bring awareness to the 2.1 billion people in the world who still don't have access to safe, readily available water in their homes.

Effective plumbing is also essential to helping the environment. With increased water shortages and droughts worldwide, sustainable and energy efficient plumbing are paramount to helping the planet.

So today when you're taking a shower or doing the dishes, thank the plumbers who made it possible!
