No rain? That’s a win in itself!

Community Associations Institute of Illinois Annual Golf Outing at Cog Hill brought the heat—literally. It was a steamy 90° day, but everyone showed up ready for a great day of golf, networking, and fun. Even Elvis made an appearance!

The day started long before the first tee time. From setting up VIP parking the night before to returning at 6 AM with my fellow Legislative Fundraising Committee members, there was a lot of behind-the-scenes work to make the experience special. Seeing everything come together and watching everyone enjoy the day made every bit of effort worthwhile.

A special shout-out to all the CAI peeps who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make these events happen. This year, we traded rain delays for sunscreen and sweat, and I’ll take that trade any day!

We were honored to have been invited to speak at the (WLA) Western Loss Association 2026 Spring Conference about the textile restoration side of a claim.

We had the opportunity to highlight something were incredibly passionate about — the importance of being involved from the very beginning, alongside the mitigation contractors. When textile restoration is brought in first, we create real opportunity to salvage rather than default to replacement… and that’s where better outcomes happen for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to WLA for the trust in Alissa Soifer Pollina and CRDN Full-Service Contents Restoration to deliver this message and be part of such an impactful conversation.

And just as important — it was great seeing so many familiar faces, making new connections, and wrapping it up with some fun networking (and a little X-Golf to keep things interesting).
