• Effective hazing
• Food attractants and prevention
• What to do when coyotes are nearby

COYOTE CONDO: BEYOND THE HEADLINES
The recent attention surrounding the so-called “Coyote Condo” has generated plenty of concern. But what is actually happening?
A coyote family has temporarily taken up residence at a paused construction site in West Hollywood. The unfinished structure provides something coyotes naturally seek: quiet, secure shelter.
Urban coyotes are drawn to areas that provide two essential resources: FOOD + HARBORAGE
Understanding this is key to finding long-term solutions.
🐾 WHO'S LIVING THERE?
The family appears to include:
• An adult male and female
• 3 pups, approximately 5 months old
☀️ EXPECT MORE DAYTIME SIGHTINGS
The pups are now exploring farther into their parents' territory. Daytime sightings do not automatically mean aggression or boldness. Young coyotes may hesitate, make mistakes, or be slower to respond because they're inexperienced.
This is an important opportunity for the community to reinforce healthy boundaries.
🚨 DO NOT FEED THEM
Reports indicate that people may be throwing food over the fence and leaving water for the coyotes.
Please do not feed coyotes.
Feeding can:
❌ Encourage coyotes to remain in the area
❌ Interfere with natural foraging behavior
❌ Cause coyotes to associate people with food
❌ Increase the risk of human-conditioning
